Covenant Marriage

  • Liability: generally speaking, in a non-government issued covenant marriage, each member of the marriage may not liable for each others liabilities. This varies state by state by state. In most cases tax law does not recognize Covenant Marriage as actual marriage. As a result, in many cases couples who enter into Covenant Marriage file income taxes separately.
